Welcome to Granville Island

Enjoy a catered deluxe breakfast while you read the paper sitting on the oversized loungers, while the ducks quietly swim by.

I have had the pleasure of staying with David at his beautiful B&B many times. He is an incredible host, his cooking is exquisite and the view is spectacular.
I always look forward to the stay at David's. Breakfast on the patio with the seawall and ocean view is not to be missed.

I recently was fortunate enough to be a guest at David's B & B. I am a former resident of downtown Vancouver and can say that David truly has one of the most beautiful spots in the entire city. Beyond its beauty, this B & B is also in the heart of it all! Everything you can imagine is within walking distance and the walk itself is breathtaking. David's patio should be listed as one of the cities main attractions. Between his exquisite cooking, outstanding beverages and down to earth personality, there is no better place to stay when in Vancouver! Bravo to brilliance!!!

Be prepared to be pampered indeed!!!! I have had the good fortune of staying at David's B&B a couple of times now and am going back at the end of August. The view from David's water patio is fantastic! It's so relaxing and enjoyable to have breakfast or any meal on the patio, watch the ducks swimming by in between all the lily pads on the pond, and listen to the sound of the waterfall. Always fun to visit Granville Island which is a 5-minute walk away, or go for walks along the sea wall. David is a down to earth guy and lots of fun to be with- just don't ever play cards with him!!!!! He is a wonderful host and a fantastic cook - kudos to the chef for sure!! I'd highly recommend David's B&B and can hardly wait to go back. Will waddle home as usual!!!

    Hello,

I came across your website tonight and will recommend it to friends who may come to town as I'm your neighbour, at 1590 West 1st - the Marina Co-op. My son works at Opus and is studying animation at Emily Carr and we've lived here since June, 1993.

I notice you have links to activities and I think your guests might enjoy being able to board a boat right from Granville Island to take a water taxi to Bowen Island in about an hour for just $30 incl tax for adult rtp. We did this last summer and it was a neat outing as there are places you can walk to from the ferry dock on Bowen. Another idea is the many events and naturalist led activities in the regional parks, plus free watershed tours. http://www.metrovancouver.org/region/calendar/Pages/default.aspx
the link is noted above. They show it all online, but if you call Metro Parks to get on the mailing list, you'll get a tabloid-size newsletter which is easier to digest.
    All the best,
    Christine
